Lebenswege
One year ago I moved from Hamburg to Freiburg and went through the most chaotic year of my life. And the most interesting and most teaching so far. If I can say so. *** Genau ein Jahr ist es her, daß ich morgens um 6:00 auf dem Freiburger Hauptbahnhof angekommen bin. Mit dem Nachtzug von Hamburg. Mit den Kindern (Sohn, damals 6 Monate; Tochter, damals 6 1/2) und einer Freundin und ihrer Tochter. Für einen Neuanfang. Wir waren aufgeregt und neugierig. Der Umzugswagen war gleichzeitig unterwegs. Auf der Strasse. Zuerst brachte er die Sachen von der Freundin nach Stegen. Danach zu uns nach Munzingen, wo ich per Internet eine Zwischenbleibe…

Alte Bäume
There are many beautyful old trees in the area where we live. Now in autumn they show their golden dresses and make me feel whole and calm. *** Wenn man durch den Freiburger Stadtteil Vauban spaziert, findet man viele alte Bäume. Obwohl der Stadtteil dicht besiedelt ist, fühlt man sich trotzdem wohl udn nicht beengt. Eine gute Stadtteilplanung und -architektur mit viel Grün und Freiflächen hebt die Lebensqualität entsprechend an. Jetzt im Herbst leuchten die alten Bäume in den schönsten Farben. Im Hintergrund zeichnet sich der Schönberg als Silhouette, bei gutem Wetter auch in den tollsten Herbstfarben leuchtend. Ich bin gern hier.

Weekending
Sitting here with a candle, listening to the autumn wind outside. The children are sleeping and I dream of the wonderful weekend we had. Slowly the world around us starts to turn into those wonderful autumn colours. Today we enjoyed a walk to the nearby Jesuitenschloss, a lovely building with café and very lovely ambiente. You walk a bit uphill through wine yards and apple & walnut trees. Up there we enjoyed some tea. On the way back we collected some wine that the farmers left. For dinner we tried to roast some of the Maroni from the tree in front of our house in our little ceramic fireplace on…
