I have been published!
With my mail my husband also brought the latest issue of somerset studio gallery winter 2010. This kind of magazines I only have in my mailbox when I’ve been published. Quickly browsing the mag I found two of my ATC’s that I submitted for the black & white special issue (which never went to press). Lovely to see them in there. I am curious when and where the rest of our submissions will be found.

Mit meiner Post brachte mein Mann mir auch die aktuelle Ausgabe von Somerset Studio Gallery Winter 2010 mit. Solche Hefte habe ich nur im Briefkasten, wenn ich da auch veröffentlicht bin. Und siehe da, nach schnellem und gezieltem Durchblättern des Heftes (geschmökert wirs später), habe ich meine ATC’s gefunden. Ursprünglich hatte ich sie für die Black & White Sonderedition eingereicht, die aber leider nie zustande kam. Nun wurden die beiden Kärtchen also hier ausgestellt. Schön.

Hi and congrats on getting published! I left you a comment on my blog about the root bowl I picked up locally, but wasn’t sure if you’d see it there. I called the shop and found out that they are ecofriendly bowls/platters produced by a company called Enrico. They are made from Chinese Fir tree stumps that have been left after the trees have been harvested. There is a movement whereby the roots are being dug out to support the quicker growth of new trees. Then local artists carve the roots into various pieces. Each one has been hand carved, so they are all unique. So if you do a google search on Enrico Products it might bring one up near you or a place online where you could purchase one. They are very reasonably priced compared to many of the hand carved bowls and platters I’ve found and they support the environment, as well as local artists in China.
